![]() The UAFC looks towards HVY as it seeks to modernize it's current fleet of vehicles in use by Fleet Command and Strike Command. After extensive testing of Scavenger and Future versions of the vehicle, the UAFC opted to order over 20 Scavenger Scarabs as a part of the Future Combat Systems project, and deployment of the vehicle is currently underway. The Chief of Staff of the Army had this to say about the acquisition: I am pleased with the vehicles capabilities as a light-armored transport for our Soldiers. I am not at the liberty to say anything else other than that. Detailed information on the Scarab's use are classified, but it's role as a transport vehicle should not be overlooked as it allows the Khanjali to function solely as a main battle tank, and not have to "dual role" as a slow and relatively immobile transport for infantry. The "Ripsaw" is classified as an LAV, and estimated costs for it's deployment are shy of 100 million dollars.
